EAST COAST GROW BEGINS ONLINE RELEASE
It's been a very busy fall and winter for East Coast Grow--we won CINE PitchFest presented by A&E, screened at the Oxford Film Festival and Richmond International Film Festival, and won the Gold Award for screenwriting at DC Web Fest. And after all of that, we're so excited to begin releasing East Coast Grow online!
The rollout begins today with short webisodes that comprise the complete 30 minute pilot. Today's installment is a teaser, with the first full webisode releasing this Saturday, April 22, in conjunction with the National Cannabis Festival (we hope to see you there!). Check back on April 27 and May 4 for the final two webisodes. And be sure to follow us on social media for further updates on the rest of the first season.

EAST COAST GROW IN THE NEWS
We are almost finished shooting the pilot episode of East Coast Grow, and look forward to a winter of post-production! It's been amazing to see such a positive response to the show.
In late November, the wonderful folks at Mess Hall Culinary Incubator let us convert their space into a mock marijuana cultivation center. We had a blast filming there and can't wait to share the scenes with you. In the meantime, the show is generating a nice buzz with these behind-the-scenes stories:

A NOTE FROM CO-CREATORS MATT DOHERTY
AND AMY TASILLO
Thank you so much for visiting our site! We are extremely grateful for the tremendous amount of support we've received for this project. This is a personal story for us and we're so excited to share it with you. We've been living in the District for almost a decade and have been partners in life for almost as long. This show reflects our unique experience of living in Washington, DC.
DC is the first East Coast city to legalize cannabis, and while there are tremendous challenges with implementing this in a federal district, the efforts of local residents to create a culture that is inclusive and fair gives us a lot of hope for what is to come. As this industry continues to evolve, we will be telling the story of those who are working to create it. Stay tuned.
Matt Doherty has been working in the cannabis industry for over ten years. He has helped lead canvassing efforts for marijuana advocacy groups, founded hydroponic retail stores, and worked as a consultant for medical marijuana cultivation centers. As East Coast Grow's Executive Producer, he looks forward to bringing his experiences to the screen.
Amy Tasillo has been working in the film and media industries for over seven years. She has worked on various short films, documentaries, and educational media projects as a producer, director, writer and editor. She has also worked as a media educator for various non-profits, teaching filmmaking skills and leading community film projects for youth. She is excited to tell the story of East Coast Grow as Director and Writer.

SO THE PILOT IS FINISHED...WHAT'S NEXT?
Summer is going by fast, and we at ECG are getting ready for the next phase of the show! We've been getting a lot of inquiries about what comes next. For those wanting another DC screening, you're in luck. We're planning another showing in the near future, so stay tuned for more details. We're also currently submitting to some amazing film and arts festivals. Keep your fingers crossed, and we'll continue to keep you updated as we learn more!
We had a lot of fun last week screening the pilot for Councilman David Grosso and his staff at the Wilson Building. It was great to see such a positive response from the audience (even during a scene that poked fun at DC politicians). We'd love to host more private screenings for political and social justice groups, so contact us if you're interested!
